a san francisco engagement

me and mary grew up in dance class together, spending countless hours training at the studio. as quite literally the same person in two different bodies, we quickly became the dearest of friends. when her boyfriend casey reached out and explained that he was ready to pop the question, I knew I’d clear any day he had in mind just for a chance to witness the occasion me & mary had been dreaming about since we were little girls!

so, one sleepy morning in june I hopped in the car and drove down to san francisco, to a university campus that was meaningful to both of these hardworking dentists-in-training. casey’s plan was detailed and mapped out to perfection, and the weather a soft overcast that made the gorgeous flowers on the university campus absolutely pop. mary had been asked to dress up, and so, dolled up in this striking purple dress, she was beyond ready for what was about to be one of the happiest moments of their lives. casey and I had plotted an hour beforehand to locate the perfect location and perfect angle for him to propose, and soon, a friend dropped mary off at the campus (with a fistful of flowers, that he had given the friend to give to mary) and it was showtime! as he lead mary to a small bridge we had found, the excitement was thick in the air. with the sweetest words, some laughter, and some tears, my friend had a ring on her finger in no time!

we romped around the open campus like kids, the couple absolutely giddy the whole time. the most memorable morning!
